Refine Your Solo Skills with 12 Flights Over Water!

After you have successfully completed the Level I and II programs, you will have a basic ability to fly solo under the guidance of an instructor. The pre-Land course is designed to refine your solo skills and prepare you to fly in more challenging conditions over land. The combination of solo and booster flights with the instructor will improve your competence in existing skills, and begin development of new skills. This course should be augmented with further Ground School and Video training. Principle Instruction will consist of 12 Training flights over water.

In the most advanced training program hang gliding has to offer, you will learn how to launch, fly and land a hang glider over Biscayne Bay with a USHGA certified instructor.

Hang gliders are controlled by shifting the pilot's weight with respect to the glider. Pilots are suspended from a hang strap connected to the glider's frame (hence the name "hang" glider). By moving forward and backward and side to side at the end of this hang strap, the pilot alters the center of gravity of the glider. This then causes the glider to pitch or roll in the direction of the pilot's motion and thus allows both speed control and turning.

Our instructors are certified for airworthiness by the Hang Glider Manufacturers Assn. (HGMA). Also, hang gliding instruction has been standardized and students learn from certified instructors using a thorough gradual training program.

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge for NO SHOWS. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.

Bring swimsuit, sunscreen and towel

Recommended for all tours in Miami: Comfortable shoes, extra layer of warm clothing, hats, visors and sunglasses.
